For instance, at the dacha last week, Natalya asked me the word for "sickle." (This was one of our hands-on vocabulary lessons, this one in the storage shed.) I told her, and she said, "No, that's not it, that's this," and drew a circle in the air. I told her it was a different word, and spelled it for her, but I don't think she believed me.
